Performance for a rock

Performance for a rock (2015) installation / single-channel sound and video, natural rock / variable dimensions / 3'45''

About / A massive natural rock inside the exhibition space is facing a screen where a virtuous parkourist is seen performing tricks from a sturdy concrete- produced building. The installation references the relation between human’s and nature’s mastery as well as the “observer’s effect”, which in physics refers to changes produced through the act of observation on the phenomenon observed.
